This 47% 2008 vintage rum from the Chamarel distillery has a golden colour, similar to that of an aged cane juice rum. The nose gives off delicious aromas of vanilla and fruit. In the mouth, this Jurancon-cask-aged rum has plenty of character and finesse. Hints of wood intertwine with sweeter overtones of caramelised fruit, and there is also a touch of flambéed banana. The body is rich, with a surprisingly lingering aftertaste.
