Gordon & MacPhail is undoubtedly one of the most reputable trading houses in Scotland. In addition to being the oldest house, it also stands out for its total control of barrel ageing. Gordon & MacPhail is the only house to have its own barrels, meticulously selected by them, filled. The Caol Ila 2006/2016 is part of the exclusive limited series of Caol Ila distillery.

Nose: Smoky with a hint of citrus fruit. Brilliant and maritime character. Woody notes.
Palate: Medium-bodied. The palate is softer and sweeter than the nose promised. A little peppery peat, ash and soot. Salt and caramel. Orchard fruits as a base.
Finish: Medium-long finish. Toasted oak, peaty, salty, fruity.
