Ramos Pinto 10 ans - Quinta de Ervamoira
Bottle of 0.75 L
Presentation
The Douro region, located in northeastern Portugal, is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. It is in this region that the Quinta de Ervamoira is located, which has belonged to the Ramos Pinto family for over 130 years. The quinta is located in the Rio Torto valley, an area considered to be one of the most conducive to the production of superior quality Port wines.
Porto Ramos Pinto 10 Year Old is made from grapes exclusively from the Quinta de Ervamoira. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted to ensure optimal quality. The grapes are then transported to the winery to be crushed and fermented. The resulting must is then fortified with grape brandy to stop fermentation and preserve the natural sugars of the grapes. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 10 years.
Porto Ramos Pinto 10 Year Old has a beautiful orange-red color with a greenish touch. On the nose, it gives off round and generous aromas with a slight vinous and balanced touch. On the palate, there are flavors of fruits such as orange, apricot, and plum, as well as notes of vanilla and old Port. The wine is fruity and tannic, with a good structure and a perfect balance between fruit and alcohol. The finish is slightly fresh.
Porto Ramos Pinto 10 Year Old can be enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with dishes such as a salad of whelks with tomatoes and onions, aged cheeses, or desserts made with dried fruits, oranges, and eggs. Porto also pairs perfectly with a good cigar!
