The Quesada family has its roots in Spain. Attracted by adventure, they moved to Cuba in the early 19th century. At first they worked in the bakery sector before dedicating themselves to the production of cigars in the late 19th century. Like many large producers, the Quesada family fled the Cuban revolution in 1959 and set up in the Dominican Republic's Santiago free zone in 1974. Quesada Cigars celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014. Through its experience and know-how, it produces for several major brands such as Casa Magna, Fonseca and Cubita.
