Diplomatico rum is originally from Venezuela. It is a hybrid between Hispanic and English rums. The quality of this brand owes much to the Cellar Master, Tito Cordero. This man has an extraordinary record under his belt as evidenced by his three titles: the title of Rum Master for 2011 and 2013 in London and, most recently, Global Rum Master Champion in Madrid in 2014.
