Flor Dominicana was founded by Litto and Inès Gomez in Santiago, Dominican Republic, in 1996. Born in Spain but raised in Uruguay, Litto Gomez entered the cigar industry in 1994 after a stint in the jewellery sector. In the beginning, his cigars were sweet, but Gomez began to catch the attention of high-end smokers when he began producing stronger mixes rolled into unusual shapes.
