Nicaraguan Casa Magna cigars: Cigars with personality.

The Quesada family, maker of the Casa Magna cigars, used to work in the tobacco industry for over a century. Originally from Spain, they migrated to Cuba in the 1880s. The Cuban revolution forced them into exile and they started a new life in the Dominican Republic where they developed leaf tobacco trading for decades. One of the grandsons, Manuel Quesada, created a small tobacco manufacture in 1974. In the seventies, Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plascentia created Casa Magna in order to replace the “Joya de Nicaragua” brand. Casa Magna cigars are exclusively made from Nicaraguan tobacco which makes the cigar a Nicaraguan Puro. Casa Magna cigars are rather powerful and usually rolled in a maduro wrapper. The presentation is a model of its kind, in lacquered box with a beautiful finish. In 2008, the Cigar Afionados Classa magazine ranked the Robusto module cigar of the year.
