Jonathan Drew has meticulously selected tobaccos from Esteli, Nicaragua, and coffee beans from the fertile lands of the mountainous regions of Jinotega and Matagalpa to bring this incredibly surprising range to life. In addition, a special edition called Tabak Especial Toraja has been created.
This special edition is inspired by a very special coffee that is usually grown in the Indonesian region of Sulawesi, in Toraja. Toraja coffee is considered one of the best in the world, grown at very high altitudes. The result is a wonderfully balanced, creamy and rich coffee, with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, fruit and herbs. A small amount of Toraja coffee is also grown in Nicaragua, where it is mainly reserved for celebratory occasions.
The Tabak Especial "Toraja" is a two-tone "Tapa-Negra" style cigar, combining the Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade Grown wrapper used in the Tabak Especial Medio with a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper.
