A bit of history
Founded by John Sinclair, it is the only distillery on the island. They produce two different styles of whisky, depending on the type of malted barley used. The "Ledaig" is smokier and more robust than the "Tobermory" which is fruitier and not peated. The malt comes from Islay, from the old Port Ellen distillery. The distillery also produces Gin.
Beautiful place to visit, the village is very colorful.
