Presentation
Bielle 2011 Rhum elegantly embodies the expertise of the distillery located on the island of Marie Galante, the jewel of Guadeloupe. Distilled from pure cane juice using the agricultural method, this 2011 vintage has undergone double distillation (Creole column then pot still), guaranteeing remarkable aromatic purity. The ‘Premium’ version is then aged for 11 years in ex-Bourbon oak casks, a slow tropical maturation process that gives it richness and depth.
The copper-amber colour of Bielle 2011 promises a warm taste experience. The nose is dominated by aromas of old noble wood, roasted almonds, blond tobacco and a subtle hint of vanilla, which open the tasting with finesse. On the palate, this rum is full-bodied and silky, with a soft and generous attack — notes of dried fruit, brioche and nuts, sometimes enhanced with hints of chocolate and cocoa, evoking a rich, subtly woody dessert.
The finish is long, round and refined, marked by a dominant vanilla flavour and a slight bitterness of orange peel or old wood — an elegant balance between indulgence and maturity.
This Bielle 2011 is an exceptional aged agricultural rum, both expressive and balanced. It will appeal to those who appreciate round, complex and harmonious profiles, where ageing has sculpted a deep and generous character.
