Octomore 14.3 uses barley grown on Octomore Farm, just two miles from the distillery on Islay. This use of local barley gives the single malt a high grain content, highlighting the profound impact of this natural and raw ingredient, while contributing to the renaissance of the farming community that grows it.

Head distiller Adam Hannett has brought out the full flavour of Islay barley in this top-quality single malt. It is aged in a combination of first-fill American whisky casks and second-fill wine casks. The oak influences the character of the whisky without ever overpowering it, preserving the terroir and distinct flavour of Islay barley.

On the nose, you'll discover aromas of warm, sweet mash, combined with soft, biscuity notes of malted barley that blend harmoniously with earthy peat smoke. As the peat lingers on the palate, creamy notes of Islay porridge and cereals are balanced with hints of butterscotch, honey and a subtle touch of vanilla. .
