In 1946, Zino Davidoff introduced a range of cigars inspired by classic Bordeaux wines. These cigars, the Davidoff Grand Cru, are crafted from blends of tobacco carefully selected according to soil and climate, thus reflecting the French terroirs. Just as Bordeaux wines blend three main grape varieties, these cigars combine three types of tobacco in their filler.
Today, a new innovation is unveiled with the limited edition Diademas Finas collection. For the first time, Davidoff uses tobacco aged in Premier Grand Cru Bordeaux red wine barrels. The Seco tobacco from San Vicente has been aged for six months in these barrels, infusing the cigar with rich aromas reminiscent of Bordeaux wines: black cherries, nuts, and citrus. The palate experience evokes the complexity of a fine wine swirled in a glass.
