Presentation
Made from Papalote agave, a variety endemic to the lush mountains of Guerrero, Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero embodies the wild elegance and aromatic richness of this region of striking contrasts. This agave, grown in fertile tropical soils, benefits from a humid, mountainous climate that shapes its complexity. It takes more than six years for this plant to reach ideal maturity, a time carefully chosen by the jimadores to harvest the piñas by hand, with deep respect for nature.
The agave hearts are cooked in conical ovens dug into the earth, a traditional method that gives this mezcal its delicately smoky aromas and discreet mineral touch. Once cooked, the agaves are crushed to release their sweet must, which is then fermented in the open air with natural yeasts specific to the region, adding a floral and fruity signature to the spirit's profile.
Slowly distilled in small batches in artisan stills, Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero reveals a soft, silky texture, revealing exquisite notes of white flowers, tropical fruit, lemongrass and light pepper. Each drop evokes the freshness of the forest and the mystical intuition of the Guerrero land.
Bottled in a hand-carved jade-green decanter, a symbol of prosperity and harmony, this mezcal pays homage to the matriarchal traditions of Guerrero, where women play a central role in culture and the transmission of knowledge. More than a mezcal, Clase Azul Guerrero is a work of liquid art, a vibrant tribute to the wild beauty of Mexico and the feminine spirit that inspires its essence.
