Presentation
Bielle 2010 rhum is an exceptional agricultural rum from the island of Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe, a true showcase of traditional Caribbean expertise. Distilled from pure cane juice using the classic methods of the Bielle house, then aged in oak barrels in a tropical climate, this vintage reveals all the finesse and depth that long ageing can offer.
Its amber colour already hints at its aromatic richness. On the nose, Bielle 2010 reveals elegant notes of slightly candied exotic fruits, accompanied by a warm bouquet combining vanilla, noble wood, beeswax and a few sweet spices. Depending on the cask, there may be a subtle vegetal undertone, reminiscent of fresh cane or aromatic herbs, lending it a beautiful complexity.
On the palate, this rum seduces with its balance and depth. The attack is supple, almost silky, evolving towards woody flavours mixed with hints of cedar, liquorice, toasted notes, dark chocolate and gingerbread. The cane reveals itself discreetly, giving way to dominant notes of wood, spices and dried fruit, a fine example of what tropical ageing can bring to an agricultural rum.
The finish is long and elegant, marked by hints of vanilla, dry tobacco and slightly smoky wood, leaving a warm and lingering sensation. This layered aromatic profile, fruity, woody, spicy and sweet, makes the Bielle 2010 particularly appealing and rich in taste sensations.
